Users of Sony's Reader e-book service will be happy to know that an iOS app has just been added to the App Store, so users of Apple devices can access the books they've been reading on Sony gear.
It's good news for people who may have one of Sony's Reader devices, but doesn't always want to carry it with them. The app isn't the same as the one found?on Android or elsewhere, but rather is based on the Bluefire reader app already in the App Store. That said, once you log in you'll have full access to your purchased and stored books.
Sony's customers have had a long time to wait; Kindle, Nook, Kobo?and Google reading apps have all been available on iOS for some time, and given Sony's investment into the e-book world, it seemed strange to many that they had no presence on Apple's platform.
Whatever the case was, the app is live now in the App Store as a free download.
